SOBEWFF: Thrillist BBQ & The Blues

Thrillist did it again! But this time by hosting BBQ and The Blues at the 2011 South Beach Food and Wine Festival. Cool grown-ups were in attendance sporting their sandy feet as accessories in the The Oasis at The Raleigh Hotel.

BBQ-lovers gathered to celebrate the two main staples of any man’s diet: delicious smoked meaty goodness and Blues music so good it did not make you blue. The sold-out event was hosted by celebrity chef Tyler Florence and The Royal chef John DeLucie and featured performances by Diablo Dimes. Guests enjoyed drinks from Zacapa Rum and custom-crafted BBQ-inspired dishes from some of Thrillist’s favorite South Florida chefs including:

Served Santa Maria Tri-Tip with buttermilk toast, bread and butter pickles, piperade, black eyed peas & chickweed.

Served Smoked Beef Short Ribs with local vegetable slaw and a cornbread rolls.

 
Oh yeah... Sparky’s Roadside Barbecue Proprietors and Chef Kevin Kehoe and Hans Seitz served Brisket Sliders with coleslaw and collard greens but we ate the picture too!
